What is their mission?
Their mission is to ensure accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare for everyone in resource-challenged areas of Bangladesh. They aim to empower communities to lead healthier lives by:
- Improving accessibility: Focusing on primary healthcare in rural and remote areas with limited medical facilities and professionals.
- Ensuring affordability: Implementing programs like sliding-scale payments, free clinics, and subsidized medicine to make healthcare accessible for all.
Key areas of focus:
- Preventive Health Education: Empowering communities through education on nutrition, hygiene, maternal health, and disease prevention.
- Supporting Women and Children: Addressing high maternal and infant mortality rates by prioritizing maternal healthcare and child nutrition.
- Sustainable Infrastructure: Developing a network of health facilities, mobile clinics, and partnerships to ensure long-lasting impact.
- Empowering Communities: Training local healthcare providers and educating communities to build self-sustaining healthcare systems.
Current Projects:
- Phase 2: Healthcare Program for Workforce: This program focuses on garment factory workers and tea garden workers, offering annual checkups, preventative healthcare, and mental health support.
- Project: ATABS: This project aims to raise awareness about Thalassemia disease among university students in Bangladesh and encourage premarital screening.
- Project: Oprorajeo: This project offers mental health support to students affected by recent violent protests in Bangladesh.
