Dr Ashfaq M Khan FRCOG
Chair
Dr Khan is a doctor by profession. He graduated from Dhaka Medical College in 1996 and moved to The UK in 2000. He is a senior Consultant of Women’s Health with special interest in Cervical cancer prevention.
Ashfaq is the CEO and Medical Director of Harley street Gynaecology and the former Head of Lower Genital Tract Disease and Colposcopy unit of London based Whittington NHS Hospital. He is a Fellow of the Royal college of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG) and also the Founding Chair of Bangladesh Liaison Group of the Royal college. He is also a director of Base care Foundation UK.
Dr Ziaul Haq FRCP
Vice Chair
Dr Haq is a specialist in Respiratory Medicine who graduated from Dhaka Medical college in 1991. He is a fellow of Royal College of Physicians (FRCP). Zia worked as Consultant Physician in the UK before moving to Dhaka Bangladesh in 2022. He is currently a senior Consultant at Evercare Hospital, Dhaka.Zia has been running a community clinic in his village near Dhaka for more than 8 years.
Mrs Ashrifa S Bashar MBA
Treasurer
Ashrifa has been involved in several successfull philanthropic projects over the last 20 years in Bangladesh .She graduated from Dhaka university in Biochemistry and completed her MBA from NSU, Dhaka in 1998.
Mr Naimul B Chowdhury MBA
Mr Chowdhury is a renowned businessman with vast experience to run group of industries in garments sector in Bangladesh. He completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 1994 from The Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka. Naimul is well known for his philanthropic activities in rural Bangladesh.
Mr Ariful I Chowdhury MBA
Mr Chowdhury is a retired banker with special interest in Philanthropic activities. He graduated as an engineer from BUET ( Engineering University in Bangladesh ) and later on completed Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 1994 from The Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka. Arif held senior executive positions at Standard Chartered Bank, Meghna Bank, Bank Asia and Brac Bank, currently involved in IT business.
Dr A Nasser Khan MD, FRCP
Dr Nasser Khan is an interventional cardiologist in USA. He is the Program Director of Cardiology Fellowship Program and Chief of Cardiology at Methodist Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He graduated from Dhaka Medical College in 1996 and completed medicine residency at University of Chicago and cardiology fellowship at University of Miami. He received ‘From the Heart’ award from American Heart Association in 2019 and ‘Subspecialty Faculty of the Year’ Award in 2023 and 2024.
Mr S Mustafizur Rahman MSC
Mr Rahman is a Silicon Valley based Software Engineer in San Francisco USA . He has Master of Science (M. Sc) in Computer Science from Stanford University, U.S.A. Mustafiz supervised IT related issues of Base Care Foundation. He is actively involved in multiple charity organisations in USA which are actively engaged in Bangladesh.

Diptee is a social activists and executive member of Bangladesh Medical Society UK . She was project supervisor for our community clinics in Bangladesh during first phase of BCF

Mr Rajib Rema MA
Project Coordinator Bangladesh
Mr Reema joined us in 2022, to organise and support our Community clinics . These clinics were based in two different parts of Rural Bangladesh. Almost every week he visited these villages and worked with local organisers and community care workers to run weekly clinics without interruptions .
Rajib belongs to a aboriginal tribe of Northern Bangladesh and a post Graduate of Shahjalal University of Science &Technology, Sylhet in Social Science.
Mr Md Halim Mamun MA

Mr Mamun obtained MA in Bangla Literature from Rajshahi university Bangladesh
Currently engaged in teaching profession in Sirajganj Bangladesh . He is experienced in organising different public awareness projects for UNICEF in Northern Bangladesh . He worked as programme director and developed many dramas for UNICEF and national radio of Bangladesh on pubic awareness issues.
